Note to George Stephanopolus: Big Difference Between Bush and Obama on Domestic Attacks

awjeez Lefties jumping all over Rudy Giuliani for this. Via George (Clintonista) Stephanopoulos:

“President Obama yesterday took personal responsibility for failures in the Christmas day terror plot, but Rudy Giuliani still isn’t convinced.

I spoke to the former mayor of New York City this morning on GMA, who assailed the Obama administration’s decisions on national security.

“What he [Obama] should be doing is following the right things that Bush did — one of the right things he did was treat this as a war on terror. We had no domestic attacks under Bush. We’ve had one under Obama,” Giuliani said. “Number two, he should correct the things that Bush didn’t do right. Sending people to Yemen was wrong, not getting this whole intelligence thing corrected.”

Giuliani seems to have forgotten about the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and shoe bomber Richard Reid.

Obviously Rudy misspoke. But the truth is that after 9/11 and Reid - both which occurred because of Clinton-era policies regarding terrorism, there was not one attack on American soil. That’s simply because the policies that Bush put into place kept this country safe - period. Enemies of the US feared certain retaliation if they attacked. Obama, on the other hand, began to systematically disassemble Bush-era policies which have made this country less safe - it’s that simple. Obama doesn’t strike fear in Al Qaeda, they see him as what he is - a paper tiger.

Which is why - I’m sorry to say - we’re more likely to see more such attempts than less.
