For three solid days the MSM has painted the people of West Virginia, elsewhere who dare not vote for Obama as hay-seeded, corncob pipe-smoking hicks who won’t vote for the “chosen one” because of his skin color.

Note to Time Magazine, I guess he’s black enough for you now?

In any case as Carol Platt Liebau at Townhall writes, it’s not about racism but about discernment the kind that the rest of the Obama Messiah worshipping left is lacking.

“Back in the realm of reality, it’s the sad truth that there will probably be some people who won’t vote for Barack just because of his skin color. But there will be many, many more who oppose him because of his leftist policies and his radical associations. It’s important to distinguish between the two.”

From the start Obama - like a lot of liberals running for office - has been running as a centrist, a “healer of the country”, working for “both sides” and “the end of partisanship”.

The fact is that he is nothing more than your old garden variety 60s style leftist with new modern “progressive” threads. If the “simpletons” of West Virginia have figured this out already it won’t be long before the whole country finds out as well.
