I’m not posting results from NC or IN tonight because as a conservative Republican I don’t care who the Democrats put forward on the ballot as their choice the issue to to beat them in November.

At this point it looks like - unless Barack slips on a banana peel or something - he will be the nominee. I’m one who believes with every conservative bone in my body that Hillary will run as Obama’s running mate. This would provide one of the worst, best case senerios for our side.

In the worst case it would of course fulfill the supposed liberal dream of diversity by proving both a racial and a gender ticket. I’ve long said that liberals have always touted a ticket with one or the other but not both at the same time. Either one running by themselves would alienate the support of the other. Feminists who have worked to have a women in a position such as Hillary’s in have been angered by the fact that she is losing to a man. The backlash could be significant enough to cause many women to cross over to vote for McCain in revote.

Barack needs Hillary to win. His significant baggage has only begun to reach the surface and - there is so much more that could be exposed and connected. Subsequently to win in November Barack doesn’t win on his own merits, fleeting as they are - but by a combined two punch assault.

It’s time therefore to get to work towards beating a possible Obama/Hillary juggernaut and the time is now.

UPDATE: This result out of NC proves my point.

“Obama’s victory there was tempered by the fact that Clinton beat him handily among white voters, extending her argument to superdelegates who will decide the nomination that she will be the stronger general- election candidate.”

Again, they were made for each other.
