Just made for a movie!
I mentioned this in a post yesterday, but during that time the story has disappeared from the Arkansas news site that reported it. Wakeup American is on it.
“Something here stinks to high heaven. I am not huge on conspiracy theories and coverups and such but the story I wrote about yesterday regarding an “outbreak” of Leprosy in Arkansas, simply disappeared.
They didn’t issue a correction, didn’t add an update that the Arkansas Department of Health denies such an outbreak and claims the doctors were wrong, I had to actively hunt the site to find that story, they simply removed the whole original story…why?
Because that link now says:

Via WUA here is the Google Cache of the story. He’s a bit of it.
“PRINGDALE - The medical community is warning the public: a leprosy outbreak in Springdale could blossom into an epidemic, if something isn’t done soon.
Doctors say at least nine cases of leprosy have been confirmed in Springdale. Local doctors say they would be shocked by even one case of leprosy in their entire career, so they say something must be done soon, in order to stop leprosy’s spread.
Springdale MD Jennifer Bingham says, “my initial response was: I am shocked. I am shocked we are seeing this. It’s a true reason to be very worried.”
Medical specialists say the Marshall Islands have the most cases of leprosy, in the world. And the city with the largest number of Marshallese people, outside the Marshall islands, is Springdale. And Bingham says, it makes sense, then, that leprosy is spreading to the city. “It’s from the Marshall islands; that’s why we’re seeing it.”
Bingham says she is all for Marshallese people entering the United States, after proper medical tests. But whether they’re immigrants or not, she says people must stick to treatment, when infected. And she says, when she treats those from the Marshall Islands, this doesn’t happen. “We’re not getting the compliance that is absolutely essential to take care of this process.”
Bingham says without cooperation, leprosy, which has no vaccine, and is transmitted through the air, will spread, and could easily become an epidemic. “People absolutely should be concerned. What I’m afraid of, is when people start thinking about it enough, it will already be out of control.”
So now, Bingham, and others like Mayoral candidate Nancy Jenkins, say government help is the next step. Jenkins says she’s angered the federal government has been so lax with border patrol. She says, “We’ve just opened the borders and said, ‘Come on in! Bring your diseases! Bring ‘em!’ Why are we doing that? Those who have it need to be quarantined and treated, or sent back to their country.”
More than likely an editorial decision removed the story to avoid public alarm, or the Feds asked them to.
Here is a story attempting to debunk citing only the word of the Arkansas Department of Health (wink). Nevetheless, the original story is using local doctors who are alarmed at the surge in cases.
Here is the video:
In any case this needs a lot more attention. As noted yesterday other infectious diseases such as TB are on the rise in the area. ***See update. That local news report calling the report nonsense was based solely on the word of the Arkansas DOH. Nevertheless the CDC is now looking into the case and the Arkansas DOH. The plot thickens!

1Thanks for the link. As I said, I am not a big conspiracy theorist and the removal “could” just be very bad journalistic practice on the part of the website.
But no one is answering, no one is returning emails and it appears that they just want it to go away like the original story itself did.

2What? Leprosy and TB in Arkansas? Say it isn’t so. Never mind that in Texas border areas called colonistas we have been seeing not only leprosy, but a strain of TB that is almost untreatable.
This is just one of the unintended consequences of a lax immigration system that doesn’t bother to check the health of those who are coming in and bringing diseases that we wiped out decades ago.

3This reminds me of the Arkansas tainted blood scandal while Slick was governor.
http://prorev.com/blood.htm
In the mid-1980s, as contaminated blood flowed from Arkansas inmates to other countries, then-Governor W.J. Clinton sat on his hands despite evidence of severe mismanagement in his prison system and its medical operations. . .
Some of the killer blood ended up in Canada where it contributed to the deaths of an unknown number of blood and plasma recipients. An estimated 2,000 Canadian recipients of blood and related products got the AIDS virus between 1980 and 1985. At least 60,000 Canadians were infected with the hepatitis C virus between 1980 and 1990. Arkansas was one of the few sources of bad blood during this period. . .
