And it was right he did so.

“I hope that with this apology I will become as insignificant as I should be” in the continuing debates over Iraq and health care, he said. Boehner was among those who applauded.”

With that apology Stark narrowly missed being censured as I called for last Friday. As you now I posted that I had spoken by phone to the offices of several respresentitives who voiced that they were willing to go with the censure and needed to hear the support from us. You did so in droves according to those I spoke with.

Yes the vote failed - along party lines, but make no mistake this was a victory in that had some last minute arm twisting on Stark not happened and he didn’t apologize the results would have been different. It’s a victory because for the fist time in a long time Republicans are beginning to fight back. Any time you can get Stark, or any other uber left liberal tearing up and apologizing you know you’ve done a good job.

The Democrats are on notice now, we’re not going to take it anymore.

More at MM, who notes how the apology is only valid to those who were offended. Heh, like EVERYONE. Why can’t a Democrat just apologize and shut up? Because they can’t, they never really mean it.

UPDATE II: The lefties are not pleased with Nancy, or is that they really don’t matter that much anyway.
