Ahmadinejad at Ground Zero? UPDATE Access Denied!

“In a move that has stunned New York, the Bloomberg administration is in discussions to escort the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to ground zero during his visit to New York next week, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said today.

The Iranian mission to the U.N. made the request to the New York City Police Department and the Secret Service, which will jointly oversee security during the leader’s two-day visit. Mr. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to arrive September 24 to speak to the U.N. General Assembly as the Security Council decides whether to increase sanctions against his country for its uranium enrichment program.

Mr. Kelly said the NYPD and Secret Service were in discussions with the Iranian Mission about the logistics for the possible visit, and whether it will take place at all. He said that for safety reasons related to ongoing construction at ground zero Mr. Ahmadinejad would not be allowed to descend into the pit.

“There has been some interest expressed in his visiting the area,” Mr. Kelly said. “It’s something that we are prepared to handle if in fact it does happen.”

Mr. Kelly said Mr. Ahmadinejad had not indicated why he wants to visit the site of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.”

Does it matter? How could Bloomberg - who is Jewish - even think of entertaining this idea?

UPDATE: Sanity returns, most likely this was a false alarm as the decision to deny the visit had already been determined. However I don’t understand the “safety concerns/security” bull crap reason. Just tell the thug he isn’t welcome - period.

There was already a rejection of this request for fanatical nutjob some time ago. So nutjob tried again through a different route, hoping the original rejection wouldn’t be found out. Well, finally NYC officials got the word of the original rejection.

Personally, I think nutjob should be arrested when he arrives in the USA for acts of terrorism.

How long before we acknowledge that it was Imjustajollyjihad was one of the ring leaders when our people were held captive in 1979? The Americans who endured that crisis have already identified him but no one wants to listen to them, they have no credibility. They are just Americans, after all.
If Bloomberg even considered this for 15 seconds he should be removed from office and sent to rehab with Brittany Spears because they are definately both on the same chemical.

We always want to be nice. Knowing that, the terrorist plans to stick it in our faces and gloat at Ground Zero, anyway. And he’ll congratulate his 19 compatriots right in front of the entire world.

Imagine the families of 9/11 victims, and the parents of dead Marines and Beirut Embassy employees boldly killed by this madman’s country (in their barracks while On a UN requested mission for God’s sake), or the parents of the dead and wounded from the USS Cole, or the US forces killed on his approval in Iraq in the last few years, seeing his evil, disgusting presence on the sacred soil of ground zero.

No real American should tolerate such a desecration. He should be turned back at Kennedy Airport as personna non grata. Or arrested as an illegal alien and turned over to Sherrif Arpaio in Arizona.

It’s time for all good Americans (I know that’s a rare quality these days) to speak: “Stay out, you excressence.”
