****UPDATE****Drudge has the siren up, ABC’s the Blog confirms what I’ve been telling you all along about the fed’s bullseye on Reid.

If this pans out, it could spell trouble for only one man.

” Convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff is scheduled to report to federal prison tomorrow, over the objections of federal prosecutors who say they still need his help to pursue leads on officials he allegedly bribed.

Sources close to the investigation say Abramoff has provided information on his dealings with and campaign contributions and gifts to “dozens of members of Congress and staff,” including what Abramoff has reportedly described as “six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators.”

I told you back here that Reid has serious Abramoff contacts over the years despite his protestations to the contrary.

While the Feds will have more difficulty trying to get Abramoff’s testimony now that they lost the bargining chip of keeping him out of the pen, they may be able to get him time off for good info down the road.

I am told that there is a serious effort on to get this information on Reid as well as the others.

UPDATE: John at Powerline is skeptical of whether Abramoff has anything at all to offer. Gateway Pundit notes the judge that ordered Abramoff to jail is a (gasp!) Clinton appointee.
