The “Lamont” experiment is over. Although winning the primary tonight, he won by a scant four-percent, not a strong enough showing to carry him through till November, where Joe will now be able to, after declaring himself an independent will literally snatch victory through defeat.
It IS a campaign with momentum.
The real victory here - for Republicans is that the Democratic party is officially splintered and warring just a few months prior to midterms. While Lamont’s victory will be hailed by the uber left as a victory for the “America sucks/Moveon/antiwar” movement, the fact is that chief Georgia moonbat and cop slapper Cynthia McKinney went down (Wizbang, Michelle Malkin, Stop the ACLU, and AJ Strata (who called the results beforehand).
UPDATE: Couldn’t resist. Reports that Lieberman will run independent has sent Kos, over the edge.
Check out this “plan”:
“Here’s what we all need to do the next few days:
1. Push Harry Reid to strip Lieberman of all committee assignments.
2. Let people know what a sore loser Lieberman is.
3. Get all Democrats — including Bill Clinton — to publicly back Ned Lamont.
4. Get the Democratic interest groups who backed Lieberman to switch allegiances in the general.
The DSCC and the DCCC will have to deal with the fact that this race will continue to suck oxygen from great pickup opportunities. And I won’t apologize for that, because as a proud Democrat, I will help in whatever way I can the Democratic nominee from the Great State of Connecticut.
The Republicans rejoiced at Lieberman’s decision to stay in. They couldn’t be happier. And let’s not talk about the lobbyists! They’re besides themselves!
Joe Lieberman is not an independent Democrat. He needs to be stripped of his committee assignments and have those handed to real Democrats. And then we need to buckle down and finish the job we started.”
Hell, Kos, why don’t you just take him for a long ride? It’s amazing this putz has a enough energy in that peabrain to power his feet. Freaking Moron. Bill Clinton wants nothing to do with you nutbags. In fact, the Clinton Machine (and make no mistake - it still runs the party), is about to lock and load. Watch and see in the coming weeks.
Now give Lamont a great big kiss goodbye.

1It is interesting how Kos is OK with Special Interest grps, but not with the lobbyists. They are the same thing with a different name.
Kos is about to get an education. He will have to deal with the fact that Hillary doesn’t like it when the boys and underlings get out of line! Will she make him an offer he can’t refuse or will she crush him like a bug?

2Couldn’t agree with you more, Mac. I am going to pop some popcorn and watch the left get bent when the DNC starts to sell Lamont down the road. Those demos with at least one foot on the ground are going to realize that it will not pay to actively support this one issue wonder.
Kos is rejoicing at the fact that Hillary has sent $5,000 Lamont’s way. Window dressing. She hopes he loses big.
